WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Lingard offered himself to West Ham and <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/revealed-how-jesse-lingard-cost-west-ham-thousands-pounds-unsuccessful-trial-hotel-travel-costs/blt3866b020bfc337ae" target="_blank">underwent training with his former club</a> where he hoped to impress David Moyes. However, things did not fall in place and the London club refrained from extending a <span>contract offer to the ex-England international. Subsequently, he was in talks for a potential move to Saudi Arabia, having trained with Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq, but, </span><a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/jesse-lingard-steven-gerrard-al-ettifaq/bltb9233f8b7869f5fe" target="_blank">negotiations reportedly collapsed due to disagreements over wage terms.</a></p><p></p>

WHAT LINGARD SAID ABOUT HIS FUTURE

<p>Lingard's future hangs in the air after the failed Saudi talks.
