Premier League seasons of late have rarely gone this long without a sacking yet but, as the busy festive period and new year approaches, several managers will now be getting nervous.

Paul Heckingbottom @ 7/4

Earning promotion to the Premier League can often prove a poisoned chalice for many coaches, as their successes are quickly forgotten in lieu of the tough challenges and often losses that beset all newly-promoted sides.

This has held true for Sheffield United, who are in the relegation zone with just one win and five points on the board from their first 12 matches.

Heckingbottom has been among the favourites to be sacked next for much of the season and, while the campaign was always going to be tough, there is a feeling the Blades have under-performed a bit so far.

And one big defeat - similar to their 8-0 home hammering at the hands of Newcastle earlier in the season - could spell the end of his time in charge at Bramall Lane.

Erik ten Hag @ 3/1

The Manchester United boss has faced plenty of flak this season as several embarrassing defeats so far have checked what progress they made last term under the Dutchman.

The Red Devils were completely outclassed in the first Manchester derby, which saw them lose 3-0 to City at home in very disappointing fashion.

They have also been knocked out of the EFL Cup, by the side they beat in the final last year, Newcastle, while they are struggling badly in their Champions League group.

Erik ten Hag was able to steady the ship with a tense 1-0 home win over Luton last time out but the feeling remains that he too is one bad result away from being shown the door at Old Trafford.

Vincent Kompany @ 4/1

Vincent Kompany took Burnley on their fairytale run last year, earning him the admiration of clubs and pundits alike when he guided the Clarets back up to the Premier League as Championship winners.

However, this currency often runs short in the face of overwhelming defeats and a lack of points.

Burnley are bottom of the table, with just one win and a draw so far, and, despite the former Man City defender having credit in the bank at Turf Moor, faith in the Belgian could run out soon as the search for points goes on.

Eddie Howe @ 6/1

It seems pretty incredible to be suggesting Eddie Howe could lose his job as Newcastle boss soon after he guided them to a fourth-place finish last season.

However, the club’s wealthy owners could be trigger-happy if results take a quick downturn and the defeat at Bournemouth before the break means his price to be sacked next has come in.

Howe seems to be doing a great job with the Magpies but with rising expectation levels in the north east, the former Cherries boss is also at risk if they do not find more consistency over the winter.

Andoni Iraola @ 8/1

The Bournemouth manager was tipped to do well on the south coast before the season started but things have not gone to plan for the Spanish coach so far.

The Cherries are two places and just four points clear of the bottom three and they have looked disjointed and lacking in quality at times this season.

However, the important home win over Newcastle most recently suggests better results lie ahead and Iraola looks safe in his position at the Vitality Stadium - at least for now.

Steve Cooper @ 16/1

Nottingham Forest made a landmark commitment to Steve Cooper last season, when the club, at that time in the relegation zone, offered him a new contract. This demonstration of faith worked as he then kept them up.

Forest are currently performing well, all things considered, as they are 14th in the table, eight points clear of the dropzone.

Should things take a turn for the worse, Cooper’s odds will no doubt come in but it seems Forest will stick with the experienced and likeable coach over the busy winter months.

How Does Next Manager Sacked Betting Work:

Betting on this market means you are betting on the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

This only applies to the first managers who will have left their current position at a club before kick-off on the final day of the league, 19th of May 2024.

If a manager leaves his club before 15:00 on the final day of the season then this won't count.

If no manager has been sacked then the ‘No Manager to Leave’ selection will have won, whilst if the manager you have bet on is the first to have left his post before then this will count as a win.
